Contract Award to Trac n Trol for SCADA Improvements Project

Discussion and possible action to award a contract in the amount of $1,299,300.00 to TraC-N-TROL, Inc. for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System Upgrade for the Water System Facilities under RFQ 2019-004, providing for long needed improvements and preparation for continued future compliance with regulatory requirements, and further authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The current condition of the existing water SCADA facilities and the potential for failure creates an urgent public necessity to implement an expeditious process for upgrading water facilities to ensure continued TCEQ compliance, public health protection, and operational integrity.
Solution: Upgrade water facilities to ensure public health protection, and operational integrity.
Result: Ensure continued Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) compliance.
Background:
The project includes replacing and/or integrating existing SCADA equipment with new SCADA equipment; and migrating the operations monitoring, control, data files, data collection, and alarm functions from the existing SCADA to a new SCADA system.
Previous Court Action:
Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to solicit Request for Qualifications on February 11, 2019.
