Official Minutes for Webb County Commissioners Court Special Meeting Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 9:00 AM (Approved July 14, 2014)

Let it be remembered that a special meeting of the Webb County Commissioners Court was held at 9:00 a.m. at the regular meeting place with the following members present to wit: Danny Valdez,                                        County Judge Linda R. Ramirez,                                   Commissioner, Pct. 1 Rosaura "Wawi" Tijerina,                        Commissioner, Pct. 2 John C. Galo,                                          Commissioner, Pct. 3 Jaime Alberto Canales,                           Commissioner, Pct. 4 Thus constituting a quorum, the Commissioners Court proceeded to act upon the Agenda as posted in the meeting notice of the 20th day of June 2014. Present also were Ms. Kassandra Cavazos, Deputy County Clerk representing Mrs. Margie Ramirez Ibarra, Ex-officio Clerk of the Commissioners Court, various officers and others interested in the business of the Court.

CALL TO ORDER BY THE HONORABLE DANNY VALDEZ, WEBB COUNTY JUDGE
	1.				Roll Call by Mrs. Lucina D. Perez, Chief Deputy on behalf of the Honorable Margie Ramirez-Ibarra, Webb County Clerk Motion by Commissioner, Pct. 2 Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina, seconded by County Judge Danny Valdez to excuse Cmr. Canales    Vote: 4 - 0 Motion Carried
	2.				Pledge of Allegiance
	3.				Communications Cmr. Ramirez - No comments. Cmr. Tijerina - No comments. Cmr. Galo - No comments. Judge Valdez - No comments.
	4.				Public Comment - This section provides the public the opportunity to address the Commissioners Court on any items on the Agenda. Members of the public wishing to participate must complete a Witness Card specifying which agenda item they wish to comment on. Each public member will be allowed a total of Three (3) minutes within which to make any/all public comments. Javier Mendoza Mr. Mendoza spoke against the evaluation for the Building Maintenance Director. Sergio Martinez Mr. Martinez spoke against the evaluation for the Building Maintenance Director. Eva Delgado Ms. Delgado complained and expressed her concerns about the actions the Commissioners Court take in Webb County. 9:14 a.m. - Cmr. Canales present.

					Judge Valdez called up Ms. Rosa Benavides, Mr. Ricardo Molina, Ms. Griselda Johnson, Interim, Ms. Sara Jo Davila, Ms. Gloria Rendon, and Ms. Virginia Ibarra, Interim to be evaluated together.    4.Director of Precinct 1 Community Centers    6.El Cenizo Community Center    8.Ernesto J. Salinas Community Center 13.La Presa Community Center 22.Rio Bravo Activity Center 23.Rio Bravo Community Center
					Motion by Commissioner, Pct. 2 Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina, seconded by County Judge Danny Valdez to keep everyone in their respective jobs

					Motion by Commissioner, Pct. 3 John C. Galo, seconded by County Judge Danny Valdez to retain Ms. Armandina Garcia as Director of the Santa Teresita Community Center

					3.Building Maintenance
					Motion by Commissioner, Pct. 2 Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina, seconded by Commissioner, Pct. 1 Linda R. Ramirez to keep Mr. Garza on a probationary status for six (6) months, bring back in six (6) months, let Mr. Medford meet with him on a regular basis, and have Mr. Medford meet with the members of the Commissioners Court individually to tell him exactly what they need from Mr. Garza
